Enjoy the sound of water in shinryoku, the season of new green foliage.

Kyoto Garden Holland Park, suibokuga, painting with sumi ink and watercolour at cherry blossom time
The Kyoto Garden, Holland Park is as beautiful as ever. It is a masterpiece of garden design with a response to every season and has attracted a resident peacock.

Until 29 June

If you cannot make it to London just now then you are fortunate as you still have the opportunity to visit the Peoples Gallery at Kendal Museum for Rock Solid? 2. Catch this iconic exhibition which is a wake up call for nuclear dreamers. Here are artworks from international award winners such as Martin Greenland, (John Moores Painting prizewinner) , Julian Cooper and smash graphic artist Russell Mills alongside evidence from scientists such as the expert Dr Fairlie and renowned campaigners such as Marianne Birkby exhibiting in response to the latest plans for nuclear waste. The topic is very hot round these parts especially around Sellafield. Unmissable and food for deep thoughts.
